What a week!
Big news! Ready? Ready for this? WE HAVE AN
INVESTIGATOR! TWO OF THEM! 2 INVESTIGATORS!!
We're teaching Viola, whom I've spoke of before (:
And now, Maureen! Oh my heck. She is amazing.
Here's how it happened...
The Elders were about to go in for the night, But Elder
Taviuni felt like they should knock a door before going in.
They went to the building left of their's. They stood in
between 2 doors. Get this...they literally played Rock,
Paper, Scissors to decided which one to knock. Welp.
It turns out that they knocked on Maureen's door. She
has actually been taught before, a year ago. The Elder's
gathered her info and told us to go over asap. So, we did.
The next night, it was 8:55. We felt bad for going so late...
but hey. The Lord wants who He wants. We knock on her
door, and no answer at first. Finally, she opened her door
and was so excited to see us! She tells us "Come in, come in!"
We go in, sit down on her couch, and she asks us our names,
she then remembers that she wrote them down, and starts
pulling out her Gospel Principles book, her Relief Society
Manual, and her Book of Mormon. We're sitting there like,
"What in the?" She sits down, we officially introduce ourselves.
She tells us a bit about her. She was investigating, but then
fell in and out because she had cancer. She just finished
chemo in November. She's still a little weak, so she's trying
to not over do it. But, she was really wanting to call us when
the Elders stopped by! We set up a Return Appointment for
this Wednesday. AND. She came to church!! She only stayed
for Sacrament, because she wants to work her way up to all
3 again. Which is totally fine! We are so excited!
We can't wait to help her progress in this gospel (: She's SOLID.
It was funny, while in her apartment, she had walked away for a
minute, Sister Haupt and I looked at each other and mouthed
"Oh my gosh!" to each other. It was one of those moments I
want to remember (: haha. Man...watch out Columbia 2nd ward!
Maureen will be getting baptized!! (:
OH! Sister Haupt got her visa, so she'll be heading out a week
from today!
Also, the church put out a new video for Easter! WATCH IT!
Well, sorry this one is so short, we're off to Inner Harbor soon.
Love you all!!!
